Oh where do I begin. My 6yr old is driving me INSANE! I dont know what to do with her anymore. She used to be such a sweet caring girl, and lately things have gone drastically downhill. She is mean to her classmates, has strange thoughts that she all too willingly shares with others, tells on herself nonstop for doing things she knows is wrong, says hateful things to me and SO, Lies about things...Im trying to get her in to see a therapist but the wait list is so long. Ive tried talking to her calmly to see what is going on and she just says she doesnt know. No matter how much we ask her to stop this behavior its in one ear and out the other....Im lost!

When you started to notice the change in her did anything happen in the home that may have upset her or were there any major changes? That does seem odd, I hope for your sake and hers, you get to the bottom of it soon, that would be frustrating for the whole family!

No, Its been over 2 yrs since the divorce, nothing new has been happening. Its so confusing that she started this strange behavior so suddenly. Im at a loss. Thank you for the kind words though! My therapist( I have anxiety) said her symptoms sound a lot like ADHD or Bipolar, both of which her father has. So thats why we are getting her into her own therapist whenever we find one with an opening.

My son started acting the same way around the same way have you talked to her and ask if anything is going on I did that for a period of time and he kept saying nothing was wrong and all the suddden one day he blurts out he misses his dad and me being married and wanted things back the way they were (we had not been together for 1 1/2 so it was very strange but I talked to him and tried to explain everything to him he still has problems but has gotton so much better. Serveral things could be going on school or jealousness may also be a factor. Does she sleep at night?
