Poop or Pee ~ I say shoot for the cheerios.  Keep a bowl of cheerios by the toilet and he can only throw a handful in when he needs to pee.  As for poop, I think its a control issue.  Hopefully, he will not poop in school and only at home.

im sorry ur having a hard time with potty training. i was too when my ds was a month from being 3 i put him in underwear with plastic training pants over them. yes we had accidents but once he realized that when he has the accident i take to the restroom turn the shower on warm but cool put him in it and then get him out his cloths he started to understand that being a big boy was a good thing. took about 2 weeks to go dry all day and a month to be dry at night too. make sure to have a bucket of half water and 3 cups bleach. everytime he has the accidents when u take off the underwear put it in the bleach. once i cleaned him up and got him dry i would wash out the dirty pants rinse and hang to dry. plastic sheet on the bed. make sure to carry 3 or 4 changes of cloths with u while out and about. we kept a bag in the trunk of the car with everything we needed. i also had a jar of health treats in the bathroom. when he went on the potty he got a treat. as did his little sis who is 17 months younger then him. she is now trying to potty train the same way

I used plastic undies too.  Once my kids felt the wet and mess and I did the same thing, cleaned them up and showed where the poop needed to go, after two weeks of accidents they became few and far in between.  the plastic undies where definitely a help in keeping things dry.  I even used big boy undies with them (underneath) and after awhile they didn't want to mess in the big boy undies.
