So I was informed via "Chuck E. Cheese" that it is now BOTH of my kids half Birthdays! My son is now officially 6 1/2 and my daughter is now 3 1/2. I had these neat emails waiting for me that I could get them 20 free tokens just for having it be their 1/2 Birthdays. Me personally, I thought that was pretty cool! My kids LOVE Chuck E. Cheese and it is honestly a rare thing that we go there. Anyway I've never celebrated 1/2 Birthdays. Nor do I know anyone who does. So I started doing a search on the topic. I'm actually surprised at how many links I found on people who do celebrate! The concept is honestly so foreign to me because I had never even heard of this being a reason to celebrate! I'm thinking it might actually be a very good thing to do! Nothing big just some cake & ice cream and maybe a couple of little gifts.

So what do you guys think? Do any of you celebrate 1/2 Birthdays, and if so how do you do it? If you don't, then do you know anyone around you who does ?

No, we don't celebrate half birthdays,I've never heard of it and don't know anyone who does.It does seem like a cute idea..but I personally probably wouldn't do it.As it is already, theres been 2-3 birthday parties a month I've attended since January of this year...4 of which I had thrown for my own family...if I started with 1/2'd be broke, LOL.

LOL! I can understand that! They're still pretty young so they don't get to go to a lot of Birthday parties! I couldn't imagine that many parties a month! lol We're lucky to go to 5 parties/yr honestly!

We don't do half birthdays, either, but my daughters "half birthday" falls right around Christmas anyway! LOL
