Dear mommy and daddy,

thank you for being such understanding parents and loving me so much.  i know that it can be difficult when i am having a meltdown because it is too loud in that store, or there were too many people in that resturant, or that man (just to be kind) patted me on the head.  even though i have a hard time expressing my wants and needs accurately i'm happy that you understand me most of the time and are patient enough to figure it out the rest of the time.  I'm thankful that you love me enough to make me try new things even though it means i might meltdown but you are patient and kind and just keep trying.  thank you for loving me and not giving up hope.  please remember mommy and daddy..i may have autism BUT AUTISM DOES NOT HAVE ME!!!!

LOVE, jack
