This is in the New Testament & the Old Testament..........Not my words, His Words!!!

Romans 1:

 18For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

One of the many things I've always loved about God is how He doesn't mince words! Anyone can clearly see how He feels about it. Thanks for posting.

Actually cbk it isn't really that clear, especially if you actually read it in context for the time, which basically no one does.

purpleducky, my Bible says God is the Same Yesterday, Today, & Forever!!!  Are you saying that what He said in the OT is not how He feels today, even though he Plainly says it's an "Abomination???"

Exactly! He says He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, He said what He meant, and He meant what He said!

No. I am saying that if you actually read it in context properly homosexuality is never mentioned in the NT or OT.

So, ducky, when He says in Leviticus 20:13 "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads." THAT is not mentioning homosexuality, and that God does not condone it? Seems pretty much in context to me. Anyone can take God's Word, twist it and pervert it to their own "context", so it appears He accepts most anything. The enemy is really good about doing that for people. That's why believers have to be on such guard, and know that the way we read The Bible is the way God intended it to be read.

Oh,and before you jump on it, no I do not think gays should be killed. Jesus ended all of that when He died for EVERYONE'S sins! However, the rest of the verse, I agree with 100%.

Actually when read in context the wording used in that verse is not the same wording used in the other verses that refer explicitly to sex. There is theories as to why. The one I like the most is that a woman's bed was considered somewhat holy so to soil it in any fashion was wrong. So that verse was stating that men should not use a woman's bed for relations.

And no I don't try and pervert anything. I actually try and look at the culture at the time these books were written and see how they fit in with that instead of trying to make them fit today.

The context here is, Paul speaking of the idolatry of people, both then & now, which leads us to not follow God's Holy Commandments, which in turn hardens our hearts......these choices leave Him no recourse except to "turn us over to Unnatural & Vile lusts & affections," ie......sexual perversions & exchanging the intended relationship of a man & woman to the Abomination of man with man & or woman with woman."

He cannot be any clearer for those who Will to hear the Truth........for those with closed minds & ears to the Truth, there is little hope!

St Paul’s admonition censures two great sins which lead to all the rest of the woes and illnesses of the heart:

1. Holding the truth in unrighteousness, that is, being sinners.

And

2. The greater sin, which is one of the heart – to not glorify God, and as a consequence of not carefully attempting to follow the commandments, making excuses for our sins, and becoming vain in our imaginings and darkened in our hearts.

As for the first sin, there is repentance, and the grace of God which will help us. As for the second, there can come a time when we are incapable of repentance, because our lack of care regarding personal purity and the following of the commandments will have lead us to have a “hardened heart” like Pharaoh. From this sin there is not repentance.

If we fear the first, and struggle against it, we, with God's help & guidance will have less likely chance of  committing the second.
