So today I graduated from culinary college and EVERYTHING went down hill to the point now I am very upset at my family and my school. Well first I was suppose to get a cord to wear showing that I have Honors for having a 3.0 gpa. Well someone screwed up and I never received one and I get mine later in the mail my chef told me afterwards. Then on my certificate they misspelled my name so I have to wait for that in the mail. Now what really bothers me is what my family did to me and it was the same thing they did to me as they did on my middle school graduation and high school graduation......NOTHING! We made plans days ago to go to a food festival after my graduation instead of going out to dinner. It is free to go in and the kids can go to the playground and have fun. We even went to the bank together to pull out cash for it. Well I told my mom we would meet up at my grandma's house and go in one car from there. I go home change out of my uniform and drive over to my grandma's house. As soon as I get there mom says she doesn't want to go anywhere and we can eat soup there. I can't believe her. I could of made plans with so many other people! I just told her whatever and I went back home. My cousins and friends wanted to do something but I told them that I had had plans with my family and they just  bail on me at the last minute.  I am so mad at them right now. The worst part is I know they will take out my sister on her Graduation next month.  Not to mention my grandparents never showed up to my graduation after they said they would go. Some family I have. Only person who was there for me is my husband.

graduateHappy Graduation to me.........sad

UPDATE: My mom keeps sending me texts messages asking if I wanna go get a facial tomorrow. I don't know if I wanna go anywhere with her just yet. Should I?

congratulationsThat is just plain awful:(  I'm glad you're husband was there for you, though.  Graduation from college is a big thing.  I went back to college and got my associate degree in accounting at the age of 50.  Congratulations and God bless you.
