Easter Accident Makes Me Count My Blessings

Well I think we had the most rememerable Easter we will ever have.  We were out running an errand.  Had to get a pipe because the sewer pipe to the master bath broke.  Decided to run through McDonald's then to Meijer to get Easter Dinner as we had made no plans.

We were getting on US 127 between MI Center and Jackson, MI.  My husband took a bite of a French Fry and choked.  He almost immediately passed out.  I could not reach the steering wheel.  We were already going off the road and hit a sign, then we rolled a few times. 

I thank God every morning that we all were OK.  My husband and I had minor injuries.  Jacob our middle guy had a bit of shock and a possible grade 1 concussion.  The other 2 boys were perfectly fine.  Hubby's shoulder is still bruised and hurting, and my belly is bruised and hurting from the seatbelt.  Yes, no one ever gets in our vehicle without them and now I know I will never make an exception.  I am also in a Fibromyalgia flare where everything hurts.  But that is all.  Looking at pictures of our truck we are blessed to be alive.  We all walked away.  Checked out at the hospital and released.

I seem to be more patient with the boys and hubby.  I have thought of not much more then how lucky we were to walk away alive and only minor injuries.  So hold your loved ones a bit closer everyday as you never know when all can be taken away.

So sorry Acid for the mistake.  It's not like I am not recovering from a severe accident or anything.  I suppose you are perfect.

My accident was a major one. You smashed your car. All of you are fine. Maybe your husband should concentrate on driving and not eating while driving. Did you ever think of the danger that his negligence could have caused someone else?

So you are telling me you never grabbed food on the run?  Better to have a blood sugar drop behind the wheel or something.  It was a freak accident and a major one for your information.  Yes we all ended up walking away, thank God, but we do have injuries.  Are full size truck is completely smashed and totaled.  Don't judge till you know the whole story.  We all make mistakes.  Normally you don't pass out immediately when you choke either.  I am not asking for sympthy.  Just telling our story.  I am starting to remember why I don't come to Cafemom much anymore.  It is mean and bashing women like you.  Sorry you had an accident, but there is no good bashing someone else.
