Okay, so I babysit my sisters 2 kids, Jessie he is 5, and Helen is 3. I have three of my own daughters, ages 6, 4 and 14 months! 5 kids 6 and under is a huge undertaking for me 5 days a week, and I'm just tired! My sister decides to show up 15 minutes later than usual tonight, without calling me and letting me know she'll be late, and the first thing she asks me when she walks in is " so I have a favor to ask...I've been invited out tomorrow night" and before she can even FINISH asking what I know she is gonna ask I cut her off and just snapped at her and said "NO....NO, find someone else". It's been 5 weeks since she has paid me for babysitting, and $25 a week is not asking very much! It's upsetting cause I don't have local friends...I don't get invited out with people to do anything like that. I NEVER ask her to watch my kids....unless its my wedding anniversary, which will be next month. Instead of asking me to watch her kids it would have been nice had she included me and invited me along. I know several of her coworkers, which is who I assume she has been invited out with. I have met them at birthday parties, etc. One of them also hosted a Pampered Chef party for me!
Don't get me wrong.....I love my sister and her kids....I am just over tired....I am tired of babysitting, I want to tell her to find someone else to babysit them. Cause what happens if I go back to work? I have been applying for jobs. She'll have to buckle down and find someone else. I don't know what to do!!!!

It sounds like to me that your sister is taking advantage of your kindness...Sometimes you just have to be firm with them... that way people understand that they can't walk all over people... I've dealt with this with my sister in law... Stay Strong...
Thanks! Yeah its the 2nd dang time she has done it to me. I babysat her kids a couple years ago, when the now 3 yr old was just a baby, and she neglected to pay me when we were on a very very tight income! It started off the kids were spending time at my apartment all day I was feeding them, etc, then their schedules changed and I ended up going to her place for a few hours in the afternoon to babysit till she got home. We only lived about a 5 or 6 minute drive from one another, but it's still my car and gas being used to get there. And I had to take 2 kids along with me at the time (this was before I had my youngest), to be able to babysit.
Sometimes I just wanna tell her to find someone else....that will say "pay me or else".
