Please, oh please, explain to me why you *deserve* to get stuff for free? And why, oh why, are you so picky about what you get for free. Why must you have free soda and chips. If your reasoning is because everybody else gets to have soda and chips....well we pay for our soda and chips, so in my mind you *deserve* to pay for your soda and chips as well. Why oh why do you deserve pain relief during a normal vaginal delivery? If it's because I get pain relief during my normal vaginal delivery...well I pay for it, so you deserve to pay for it to. You're right, dear person on PA, you *deserve* all the same things I have, and you *deserve* to pay for them just like I did. When you get stuff for free...you have absolutely no room to complain about it. And please, no sob stories. I have a cold, cold heart. I hate everybody on PA because I'm and evil bish. (Not really, but I do remember watching my mom bust her butt mowing yards at 8 months pregnant to pay my dad's cancer bills. I also know my dad worked, in the oil field, while he went through treatment. I've seen another fellow by the name of Carol keep working, in the oil field no less, while he was going through treatment for throat cancer, so I know my parents aren't like superheros or anything.) So let the sob stories and entitlementalists comments begin.
*Let me say...that I'm all for helping people when they are down and out...but our assistance programs are more like Here..Live off the Governement programs, and it seems as if everybody is ok with or taking advantage of that. The government probably loves it...because you know what, if they pay all your bills, then...technically...they have oodles and oodles of control over you. Oh...and also note that you wont ever convince me that people deserve free stuff and I am under the belief that almost everybody could find something to do to bring in income if they really wanted to. Oh...and also, what are all of the people on PA going to do when the government has no more money to give them and they have to start paying for stuff again...because I'm thinking that day isn't too far off, you know....with the debt ceiling and all.
***Another note...I really think programs should be modeled more after WIC, where you get help and life education at the same time. I am also totally for the legalization of pot. Just in case you were wondering. :)

So I took the time to look at your profile and look back through your journals.......you posted the same thing just over a year ago and there is an "annonymous" post about this very SAME thing....I think that annonymous is you. I agree that we do not "deserve" anything but it is nice to have the help especially when both parents in a family are working.
I noticed that you said that you make 9.00 an hour and your hubby makes almost 13.00 an hour in Texas. I am sure that you guys are considered "low income" I wander just how you really make it with NO help. If your employer did not pay for your insurance would you have it? You come off like you are better than every one else and your attitude plain sucks. You can make a point without belittling people and lumping all people into one category. As I said in a previous response I sure hope that you never find yourself in a position to need public assistance again since YOU do not deserve it.
