First day of school

Both of my boy's were excited to start,I feel bad because my 7yr. old is doing 1st. over.  But he was excited and happy,his teacher seems very sweet,I think she will be kind to him.  Not sure about my 10yr. old's teacher,she is older,he is a very good student though and never gets in trouble.     I remember crying on the first day of school when my boys were little,it's easier now.  I hated the first day when I was young.           I think it's so awful that school starts in Aug 1st. should be after labor day!
