Saying Goodbye

Got the call I was dreading to get that My Dad cancer has gotten worse......After all these years he hasnt needed us but He wants us now..... So going in the morning to Illionios.....I dont think I ever heard him cry did today.....HAVENT SEEN HIM IN 15 YEARS Now get t go and say goodbye. And Forgive him for not being there....I can hope my sister can She ddnt want to go but she new how important it was to me........Got to put 15 years in to a few days....I know god is with us......I Love you dad.........

I'm sorry...I will be saying a prayer for your Dad. No doubt it's going to be a difficult trip to make. I hope you have a safe trip there and back. I'm glad he's asked for you to visit and I'm glad your Sis has agreed to go...it's important for you both to find some closure now. I hope you can speak with your Sis on the way there and remind her that whatever happened in the past doesn't matter any longer. If this is to be the last time you see your Dad...you'll want to make it the best possible visit. Losing anyone we love (especially a parent) is really hard to deal with...and long after our loved ones are gone....there are often things you wish you would have said or done. I hope in being there with him that you both will be able to express your love and let him know you've forgiven past mistakes. Just like the rest of  us...your Dad is human and humans make mistakes. Good Luck...I hope you have a visit filled with love, kindness, compassion and caring.
