With our unemployment rate so high and many small towns going broke, it is hard to find a job these days. That is why so many people are turning to the internet to find ways to make some extra money.

I work several different ways online to make a little extra money. I'm not getting rich (not yet anyways), but I do make enough to cover my own wants and needs without having to take away from the household funds (which we do just fine with Nathan's income).

So what do you do Michelle? You ask. Well, let me tell you! I work a couple of survey sites very hard, and there are a few tricks to working these! I've learned that you need to keep an eye on your "free trial periods" and make sure you cancel them AFTER you have been paid, but before the trail ends.

You also need to watch which programs you buy, and make sure they have a money back guarentee. These are actully kind of good, cause you may take away something new in helping with other programs you work.

I keep a simple little spread sheet to help me track which surveys I have taken and which ones have paid. As you can see, I started this kind of late in my survey adventures, but I'm pretty much up to date on it. You can also keep track of which surveys you have been paid for in your back office on the survey site.

Below is an Earnings Summery from MindsPay Surveys:

Total: $73.60
(Total Includes Pending)
Pending: $2.55
Approved: $21.05
Requested: $50.00
Total Paid: $0.00

As you can see, I have just requested my first payment, and waiting for it to hit my paypal account. AND on top of that, I am about half way to my next payout.

Vindale Research is another good site, but I have not been working that one as hard as MindsPay or InBox Dollars. So, I still have a little ways to go for the first payout of $50.

I am still learning some of the other ways to earn money with these sites, such as the tasks, and I have no idea what the "Misc earnings" are  yet. I don't really shop online, and when I do, I forget about my surveys sites. Also, you can see that I have made this without any referrals in any of my survey programs. I did this on purpose, I wanted to show that can actually be done!

This is only one way I make some extra money. One thing I want to point out is if your looking for extra money that you can earn at home, don't expect overnight success What ever program, business or company you are working with, it takes time, persaverance and WORK to make that money. Not all programs are the same, nor do they pay the same.

While you should not have to pay for program to work from home, there are some good sites out there to help you learn, which you will need to pay for. Just be sure to check for a money back guarentee and learn what you can from them. If you find they are not working for you, get your money back. If they are, then that is awesome!

One more thing, if a program does not offer something of value (training, a product or service), it is a scam. Run away from it as fast as you can. DO NOT get sucked into programs that say if you invest $10 (or whatever) you can earn $1000 from "cycling" through the system. A true work from home business has something of value to offer (as mentioned above).
