Your writing career: how did you get interested in writing or blogging? Who has influenced you along the way?

I am starting today because it is time to begin. When I was in highschool, I kept a diary, but I gave it up when my roommate read it. When my then fiance, eventual husband was overseas, I wrote him a daily letter. He came home so I didn't "need" to write any longer.

Over the next 30 or so years, I would write something and then abandon it.

Ever since I picked up a book in 2nd grade, I have loved to read. I read all the time. My favorite genre is romance novels of the English Regency period. I have read every such book  in our public library. So when I write my novel, it will probaby be something along those lines.

Right now, I follow 7 bloggers who are tons better than me. The world does not need another blogger. I am going to join this group and see where it leads.
