These fire are insane. It's hard to believe that so much has happened so quickly. Last Saturday the world was normal, today the count stands at over 38,000 acres, 1300 homes turned to ash from just ONE of the fires burning across the west, although, unfortunately this one is the biggest.
On Monday a second smaller fire started near my home and we evacuated. We are so fortunate, the fire was stalled and turned a block away from my home and today we got return. But so many of my friends were less fortunate. Several have lost everything, and even more just don't know yet. The Bastrop County Complex Fire is only 30% right now.
