Depression was eating me alive, but I fought back. I didn't have to take a pill or use drugs or alcohol to do it! Fight depression. You've probably heard that cardio & low-impact exercises such as yoga help alleviate depression, weight lifting has the same effect. The endorphins that are released during aerobic activities are also present during resistance training. Many women find that regular strength training, in conjunction with psychological treatment, helps lessen their depression symptoms substantially. I can honestly say that is true. I believe this could also pertain to men. Men rarely, if ever, omit to dealing with depression, but I know it exists, I've seen it first hand. Men can have the same endorphins from a good workout & fight depression w/out using drugs or alcohol. It isn't just a theory, it's a fact!
No shame! This is a collage of the "Fat Me". There may be a smile on my face in these photos, but believe me, I was miserable. Dying slowly. Depressed, anxious and so sick & tired - literally. I was in pain physically and mentally. These are my BEFORE pics collectively.

and after all the struggles, sweat, tears and hard work; This is where I am now. I still have a ways to go to hit my goal, but I'm working it and owe it dedication and perseverance.
