Step 1 This is a very important step. Set a side a day (or two) to do all the laundry in the house.
Step 2 This should be done in conjunction with step 1. Clean out the bottom of your closet and your children’s closets.
Step 3 This step requires an inexpensive purchase. Go down to the dollar store and buy your self some laundry baskets. Four to six for each closet your going to be working with.
Step 4 Label each basket , and place them in the closet floor or other designated place
This Is how I labeled mine
Colors
Socks and underwear
Reds and blacks
Delicates
I used the big hamper that for towels and jeans
Step 5 Make a laundry schedule. Your going to be doing laundry everyday (and yes you do have time for that)
Heres mine
Mondays- Sheets
Tuesdays- Jeans, we have 2 loads on this day
Wednesday- Colors
Thursday- Reds and Blacks again 2 loads
Friday- Delicates
Saturday- Socks Underwear and towels
Sunday- Left over day , this is the day I do anything that was missed
Every night when my daughter gets ready for bed she sorts her clothes accordingly and my husband and I do the same. When I get up in the morning before I make breakfast I put that days load of laundry in. After we have eaten and have gotten ready for the day the first load is done. That goes in the dryer and the second load (if there is one) goes in to the washer. Sometimes when I’m home all day load two goes in to the dryer rather quickly. If not, in the evening before I cook supper load two goes in and load one gets folded or hung.
And that is how I have kept my laundry caught up for the last several months. It does take some work and effort on all parts but it is well worth it.
