Okay, so I have put on a lot of weight. I am tired of people not recognizing me, mistaking me for being pregnant, kids coming up to me patting my belly, not being able to have sex during the day or with the lights on and so on. So I have decided to do something about it. I joined Weight Watchers on Monday and have lost 2 lbs..Hip Horray..I am still fat..lol..I just want to know the best way to lose weight. Tell me what you think I should do.

May. 9, 2007 at 3:24 PM Congrats on losing 2 lbs already, sounds like it's working for you, I'd definitely stick with the WW.  They teach you healthy eating habits.  Diet pills can be scary.

May. 9, 2007 at 3:27 PM WW has made a lot of my friends gain more weight i am going to do the nutro system and also drink lime a whole lime after you eat food with grease it kills the fat. I also dont eat stuff from a bakery and i use olive oil to cook it helps and JUMP ROPE helps the most

May. 9, 2007 at 3:27 PM Stick with weight Watchers!  I tried diet pills.. and they screwed my stomach up so bad!  I ended up sick for a week... not eating and running to the bathroom as soon as I did.  I went through a lot of TP... not a pleasant experience.  I'm going through the same thing, I'm trying those lean cuisine meals, and trying to follow a plan.  I'm jealous of your 2 lbs.,.. I've got no luck yet!  LOl

I am on Weight Watchers.  Been through 3 weeks already.  Now, I voted WW b/c I know how it works.  It teaches you how to lose the weight and how to MAINTAIN the weight---and in a healthy way.  It's all about choices.  I lost .2 the first week, 2.2 lb. the next week and 1 pound just this past week.  (And that's with going out to eat lunch/dinner 7 times in that week alone.)  So, I choose the healthy way. 

Oh, and BTW, I did WW before (about three years ago before my 3 pregnancies--2 miscarriages)... I lost about 50 lbs. in 8 months.  I was 4 lb. away from my goal.  Also, there's a man in our group that has been on WW for only 7 months and he has lost 113 lbs.  He said the only thing he does is follow the plan and he runs about 3 miles a day.

May. 9, 2007 at 3:29 PM I tried diet pills when I was 165 I only dropped to 150 and it only took about 3 weeks. Then all weight loss stopped. That was about 31/2 yrs ago

May. 9, 2007 at 3:31 PM Patience1--I question your WW friends b/c it doesn't sound like to me they followed the plan or didn't do it correctly b/c that is very unusual to gain weight doing the plan.  It's all about self-discipline and not cheating!

May. 9, 2007 at 3:32 PM I did pills. My Dr. prescribed me a wonderful pill called Adapex. I also had to learn how to eat healthy. I make sure I eat 3 meals a day and I only snack on foods that are healthy. I measure my foods also. I have lost 52 lbs but was only on the pills for 3 months. Everyone has their own opinions and most don't like diet pills. I do. I lost a lot of weight in those 3 months that I was on the pills and it came off very quickly, but it was and still is up to me to KEEP it OFF! It has been almost 2 years and I'm still doing well.
