This week I start the long journey on the path to the 2013 crossfit games. This will be my first year competing and I do not know what to expect  but I do know one thing for sure, and that is that I have been training hard and hitting PR's left and right ( lifting heavier weight). I wil be doing journal posts each week on progress, simply because i don't have a lot of people to chat with about it and sometimes I do better just writting instead of talking. the open started yesterday and ends aprisl 6th, there is one workout out each week until the end and this will determine if I make it to regionals. I am happy because I know I can do the first workout fairly easy I am fast at burpees and do great with snatches even at heavier weight. the workout is. 

17 minute AMRAP of:
40 Burpees 
30 Snatch, 75 / 45 lbs 
30 Burpees
30 Snatch, 135 / 75 lbs 
20 Burpees
30 Snatch, 165 / 100 lbs 
10 burpees
Max rep Snatch, 210 / 120 lbs

I am ready for pain hahaha. However I am nervous about the 120 lb snatch because my max right now is 110 lbs. But I am going to tak it on and who knows maybe another PR:) I am excited for this because this time last year I was 186 pounds and going down hill health wise. Seven months into crossfit and I am down to 140 lbs and doing things I never thought I would ever be able to do and it feels great. I can truley say that crossfit has changed my life in a huge way. For the workout my strategy is to keep  a good even pace and not smoke myself in the first two sets of burpees and snatches. I am so nervous but excited and ready to be in beast mode.
