Okay I am about to pull my hair out. I have wasted so much food over the last two weeks. Emma won't eat! Everything I fix her she just pushes it away. Even the things she used to love she won't even touch anymore. I have no idea what to do. None of my boys were ever this picky. I don't know if it has anything to do with her having a runny nose or not, but other than that she is perfectly fine. The only thing she wants to eat is junk food. I got her to eat Apple sauce yesterday, that was her dinner cuz she wouldn't eat anything else. What do I do? I don't want to make her go hungry, but I don't want her to eat only junk either! If anyone has any sugestions I would love to hear them! I am so frustrated with her right now. Please Help!

Hi Jaybirdsthree,
I'm a newcomer my name is jen I just read your note and i understand your problem you need to understand that all kids are diffrent whether they are yours or not. Kids kinda do things like walking for instance in their own time sometimes it might be the age;sometimes it just might be that your child can be sick, but you should contact your docter to make sure.
IF it's a major concern call the doctor; I've been through this at one time or another with my own children; so at the time I didn't buy junk; as difficult as that is; and what I would do and sometimes it worked; was prepare like snack foods; cut up fruit mini PB & J sandwiches; cheese, crackers, whatever; and brought them out at certain times;
they usually went for it; they certainly didn't starve much to my thoughts; but they had their picky moments; as difficult as it is dont' give in to the junk food; and don't give them alot of choices;
2 choices is my limit; and even if they won't give in right away; they do at some point.
I agree with some of the above comments. She won't starve herself. My daughter gets picky sometimes with food that I KNOW she likes. I just prepare what I would normally make and she can choose to eat or not. I always tell her though that if she doesn't eat her lunch, she won't get any snacks until dinner. That is usually enough to convince her to eat.
