God approves of abortion in the bible.

God says nothing about homosexual relationships  in the bible.

God was not speaking about society as a whole when he said "I knew you in the womb".  He was talking about a specific person each time in the bible. 

If one must use religion as a sheild, please, at least get it right.

I agree there are many things people use as a crutch for their beliefs and unfortunately they do not realize what they are saying is not how God meant for it to be used. More people need to take the time to really read the bible and understand it better. Just like God acually says he doesn't want people to go to church. Read it it's in there!!!!!!!!

IMO. that's the problem, there are so many different versions of The Bible, who is to say which one is really the words of God? We will never know until the day comes when we face him. That is why I can't stand it when people use The Bible/Religion as their shield. No one knows what is a sin in Gods eyes. Unless you have personally sat and talked with him over a cup of tea. And if so can you please send him here next? I'd like to talk with him. I agree with you triptothezoo. Everyone has their own opinion. And if you believe in your God and the Bible then you should be able to accept that everyone is different because THAT'S HOW GOD MADE US... Different.

May. 16, 2007 at 8:59 AM i don't have anything to say bad about any of those topics. i don't agree with abortion but as far as i've read you are right that the abortion thing isn't in there. i have plenty of gay friends. but i have seen where it says that man is not to lay with man and also about Lot and the angel and the men of sodum and Gomorrah being gay. so i think you are wrong on that one. not to say there isn't a new covenant and all that . people should read the part about people not judging others least they be judged. people should read about faith and believing in something bigger than yourself. i love people that have done both things and they love me. i have friends that don't believe as i do and we talk about it all the time and are still friends. chirstians are not perfect we are just forgiven .

Thank u decatur girl!  First off, I don't think I would even waste my time here, because someone who has shut their heart down this bad most often cannot be reached, but hey, I am bored, it is raining, so why not try? 

First, on abortion (please refer to KJV only...as it is GOD's undefiled word)--Matthew 18:14--Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

Jesus uses a child in this sermon as an example of what the kingdom of heaven is.  Pure undefiled innocence.  How is it then my right as only human, to knock God off the throne and step into his place?

 

Homosexual relationships---Have you ever heard of two littke places called Sodom & Gomorrah??  Why do you think God destroyed them?   Their thoughts were continually evil, giving into the lusts of the flesh, justifying everything under the sun thru self-rightousness, same as you are doing here.  As far as using religion as a "shield"...well, I am Baptist by faith, but my shield comes from God thru His salvation that He has bestowed upon me,.....so hun, next time, if you want to use Christian-bashing as a shield, at least try to get your facts a little more right.

 

My prayers be with in the sad stae into which you have fallen.  I feel so sorry for you that your life is this empty and so without God.  You will never know how truly happy you can be.....until you find Him and drop all this negativity.

EXACTLY!! Where is your proof?!? Show me where in the Bible it says God approved of abortion. Are you calling God a liar! He tells not to even support the one whose hands are given to the shedding of innocent blood. What is your definition of abortion? Back up your facts!! And puhleeeez don't give me any nonsense from the Wickapedia which is nothing more than an open forum encyclopedia wherein you can add or change the words to say what ever you want! I don't buy it! 

You obviously have not read the Bible to try and pass off as fact that God does not mention homosexual relationships. Read Romans chapter 1 and I Corinthians 6:9 just to reference only two places God mentions homosexuality and His displeasure of it.

If you're going to pass off these ridiculous statements and use them as shields to disprove the Bible, please get it right!

Let's start with this gem shall we?  Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of the evil nature of the men who wanted to rape and degrade the two strangers, not because the men of these villages wanted to have a loving commited relationship with them.

My relationship with God is just fine.  Having seperate opinions that you doesn't mean I am less a child of God.  How odd for you my sister to feel that way about differing opinions..
