Some of you might remember last year when I was ready to give up fast food to save enough money to persuade hubby to buy me a "real" pool this Spring. Remember that? Well ... I couldn't do it. I just enjoy my fast food too much. So, because a bet was a bet, challenge a challenge, he refused to get me a real pool ... but did agree to a bigger "INTEX" pool. Though I HATE these big blue ugly things all over the neighborhood, I'm glad one of them is mine, if that's all I can have. It's 4 feet deep and 18 feet in diameter ... not bad for $400 ... I guess.
Sunday, I talked hubby into setting it up. A little early, but due to obligations we have over the next few weekends, it was the only time if I didn't want it set up over the 4th of July ...
It was put up ... and filled. And an "in the face reminder" of how bad our water is here. It was BROWN. The pool water was nasty. And it was filled with the water that comes from our tap. EEEeewwwww. Luckily we have a whole house water filter and the water I actually drink and bathe in looks nothing like it ... but still ... eeewwww.
A few chemicals and running the teenie filter for 48 hours, the water has changed from a nice beige to a beautiful shade of greenish yellow. To describe it perfectly ... a margarita.
So there ya have it. I didn't get my "real" pool ... and I now have an ugly blue thing, filled with margaritas ...
Anyone want to go swimming? No one under 21 allowed.
Hmmmm, perfect ... maybe this isn't so bad afterall.

Hee Hee ... that's pretty fun. Ya never know ... I just might! :)
I think it will clear up ... will just take some time because that darn filter is so small.
ewww... but thanks for sharing.
But a pool party does sound fun!!!! Summer is approaching.

I hate yucky water!
Good luck, I hope it clears up all the way. If not you could always dye it blue - helps block alge growth ; )
