Wanderlust

I  already miss travelling. I am old for a first time mom. I am a professional, and as a childless couple, my husband and I traveled. Now I have realised my dream of becoming a mother, but I have this wanderlust that keeps eating at me. Where is a good place to go with the baby? I hate the thought of leaving him for more than I have to.

May. 20, 2007 at 3:03 AM Gil and I are going to Quebec for a week in July with 20 of my relatives - that way there will be babysitters and I can go horseback riding etc,,,,.  Then California in September. Gil wanted just the two of us to go to Mexico and I told him No I will not leave her!

When I was a kid, I used to travel with my sister as her babysitter. She paid for my 13-14 year old butt to travel, lodge and eat and attend any "family" attractions, and I tended the kids when she and my BIL went out in the evenings, etc. Someting to think about if you can afford to take an extra person and have a family memer you trust - many teenage girls will jump at the chance to travel! (I did!)
