Well the custody case for my stepson is officially over.  Friday, the 18th of May, we were declared by the court as his legal guardians.   I am so happy to finally be able to move forward, I had no idea how much stress this situation was causing me until it was over.

It is great that we will finally be able to provide a stable environment for this kid.  No more emotional abuse.  He won't have to put up with his mom getting drunk or high and forgeting he was there or screaming and starting fights with people.

 Gabriel, my stepson, gets along wonderfully with my daughter.  Aislynn has some trouble because she is used to being an only child, and she doesn't seem to understand when he is allowed to do some things that she is not.  Gabe is two years older than my daughter.

 But now things seem to be finally on the right track and I am so happy that we can all start to move on!
