It's a Girl!

Just letting everyone know that i had my baby on Friday, May 18th. We didn't know what it would be. We had a little girl. We named her Missouri Lynne. This is a family name. Our toddlers love her to death. She may even be motivation for them to finally potty train. They say having a new baby is a bad time t potty train, but within an hour of baby being home, our 2 yr old came into the restroom, pointed into the living room, said 'baby', then she pulled her pants down and said 'potty chair'. Then she got frustrated that she had a diaper on. I couldn't do much because I was in the restroom for a reason! So, I called to my mom who came in and tried to help her. But, then she started crying when she actually sat on the chair. Then today, both Aidan (3) and Audri, started helping each other carry the potty chair to the living room! We aren't going to push it because I am not able myself to potty train, take care of a newborn and recover from a C-section. But, mom said while she is here that she will try to encourage them.

Anyway, my husband and I are so in love with this little creature. My husband is so sweet when holding a newborn. I had been getting pretty irratable during this pregnancy, but now that baby is here and I see him holding her and kissing her and just being daddy, my heart melts faster than an ice cube in August. And Missouri Lynne is the most prescious thing. She weighs practically nothing. My first two kids were big babies at 10 lb. 3 oz for my boy and 8 lb. 3 oz for my girl. Missouri Lynne weighed 7 lb. 5 oz. and has lost some as newborns do. She weighed in at 6 lb. 11 oz. this morning at the doctors. She is much easier to nurse. Preemie outfits are too small, as she is mostly height, no roundness at all, except for her perfect tennis ball head! She feels like a peach all warm and fuzzy. The C-Section was at 38 weeks, but I wonder if the due date was maybe a week or two off. She is just so tiny and she had the white stuff all over her still and such a full head of thick black hair.
