I was just wondering if any of you are doing anything special for Advent? Do you use an Advent wreath in your home? One thing that we always do is have a birthday cake for Jesus. We do this on Christmas Eve and sing Happy BIrthday to Jesus.

My daughters and I do a Jesse Tree. We read sections in the bible that tell about the coming of Jesus, up to the Nativity story on Christmas eve..... My daughters chose something important about the story - like Joseph's coat, or the apple, or the angel, or the slingshot... you get the idea and they make an ornament to hang on the tree. It is a wonderful thing to do to keep the spirit of the season alive and my daughters relaly look forward to it! Great question!
We also do an advent wreath....
