Sick & Happy.....

My dear sweet Kate's 12th birthday was on Tuesday! I can hardly believe it! I've been going through old pictures to make a collage of her and Tanner and I saw one from her first birthday and I started to cry. I had to call my Mom and she couldn't help but giggle. She said that's how she feels everytime us kids have a birthday! Well, now on to the sick part. I've had the flu for close to a week now. Tuesday I actually felt a smidge better so I continued the house cleaning that I'd been doing to get ready for Kate's birthday party on Saturday. It's going to be a luau party. She's so excited! I've never thrown a theme party like this before so I'm alittle nervous about it. I hope it goes well. Okay, back to being sick.... I've felt like a big pile of poo and so very tired. All I want to do is sleep when Tanner takes his naps and it takes all the strength I have to brush my teeth. I haven't felt this bad in years! My body aches in places I forgot existed and it even hurts to breath! Well of course since my husband has to work who takes care of dear mom when she's sick??? No one!!!! So I've had to struggle since Saturday to do anything around the house and all I have done is make sure that my kids are fed and clean and happy. So keep me in your prayers and thaks for listening/reading while I vented alittle and spread the joy of Kate's 12th birthday with you all! Love ~~Nikki

Aww I feel for you, my oldest just turned 12 this year too... I don't know where the time goes, but man they grow so fast!  I just can't believe he will be a teenager next year and then soon going out on dates and all of that... Ok now I am really feeling old!
