My 14 yr old plays on an all boys  soccer team and aspires to be a pro one day.She has taken a lot of critisism as have I.She marches on no matter what they say and won't let go of her dream.I am so very proud to call her daughter!!

Jun. 6, 2007 at 1:37 PM I remember when i was in grade school, I wanted to play basketball w/ the boys and girls club, but at that time they only had boys teams, so the first year i played on an all boys team, just picture me w/ my little blonde pony tail and pink high tops.............the next year they started girls teams.  Maybe shell be remembered for doing something she wanted and not taking no for an answer.

Jun. 6, 2007 at 1:39 PM I wish more kids had a drive like that.  It seems like there are alot more slackers and defeatist attitudes in kids and adults these days.  Hopefully is a positive influence on her friends and the soccer fans, Inspiring them to follow their dreams.

that is great I am glad that she is doing what she wants to and that she doesn't let them get her down we have girls on our football team and they get slack cause they are playing a boys sport so we just encourage them and tell them to hang in there and never let anyone say you can't and to tell you the truth the girl are better then some of the boys who have been playing since they were 9 years old..tell her I said way to go and show them who is boss..lol..

Jun. 8, 2007 at 6:30 AM Congradulations, I know you're proud of her. She sounds like a very strong and determined young lady that stands up for what she believes, and is definitely a leader....not a follower. So many in todays world don't, but hopefully she'll inspire others.
