Yes, I do, believe in ghosts, spirits, risidual energy, whatever it's being called these days. I think I prefer the term "apparition" myself.

I grew up in a haunted house that was very active and have seen and heard many things that defy any rational explanation.  I'm quite analytical and believe me, I looked!  But when there's the sound of heavy footsteps in the attic, a white "veil" or "fog" hanging around the room and it's so cold you can see your breath...and it's not winter...then rationality tends to fly out the window. There's only so many excuses you can make for it, like, "Oh, its just a squirrel... wearing combat boots!"

I've come to accept there are things that we just can't explain.  I know what I experienced and it was all too real. I lived it.

Unfinished business seems to be a factor. I get visits a couple times a year from my late father who died 11 years ago  from lung cancer. I usually catch his scent when he's around. One of the first visits I had from him was a little over a year after his death. My dh and I took our then nearly 2 year old son over to a local community yard sale that was on the church grounds. We were passing by tables of stuff when something caught my eye. It was a stuffed bear with a scarf and ski cap...EXACTLY like the one my father had given me when I was a little girl. Now this wasn't a Garfield or Snoopy kind of toy that you can find anywhere. No, this was very specific. At the time of his death, the nurse said it was like he was trying to hang on, like he was waiting for something or someone. For whatever reason, some spirits seem to stay around long after death.

Sounds like your grandpa was trying to tell you that everything was ok, he was ok, and in such a sweet way!

Yes, I've often wondered if I'll come back. As protective of my loved one's as I am, I figure I probably will.

Momlo...

Yes, I believe in ghosts. I have seen many unexplainable things. Hear many things as well. LMAO...like the walking across the ceiling from one end of the room to the other. Hearing my front door open up and close and someone walk up the flight of stairs. No one there!  Hearing a person cough and no one being there but myself. Hearing a child cry from my closet..once again no one there! Or how about this one....Once when my Mother was here and we stayed up lated one night talking about things. Then, from one corner of my place.. I heard what I can only explain as a train going through from one end to another. The place shook so if it went through my living room too...but...my mom didn't hear or feel it. Just myself. I telling you this place shook! Every great once in a while you can hear a train off in the distance. Way, way, off in the distance! NOT that close!

YES, I believe in ghosts and other things as well!

Momlo...
I wonder..if a spirit comes to you and you aren't so pleasant and pretty much dismiss them. Do you think that will stop them from coming back?

Artis...

Interesting question. I guess it depends why they're there in the first place.

WOW, a train?! Yeah, I've had the house shake before, funny what no one else seems to notice, huh?

Momlo...
Yep, that is the only way I know how to discribe it. I was as it was right next to me. As loud as a train and it shook as if it were next to me. That was strange/scary! I won't be forgetting that any time soon.
