OK, so here's the deal. I had an echo-cardiogram done yesterday, and then went to the cardiologist today. My gradient, which is the force of blood over the left ventricle and aortic valve went from 63 to 54 which is great. But now it's showing that I have what is called Mild Left Ventricular Hypertrophy, which is slight thickening of my left ventricle. Well needless to say I felt sick to my stomach. My anxiety hit the roof. Well, the cardiologist said that he's not to concerned. That the PVC's I was having he feels is due to stress and has nothing to do with this. And best of all he looked me in my eyes and said your not gonna die. He put me on a medication called Toprol XL which makes the heart not work as hard. And he feels that it might make things better, or at least prevent them from getting any worse. And that it's not imperative that I have surgery at this moment, but refered me to the surgeons for a consult just to put my mind at ease. If I need to have surgery, then my heart will go back to normal, and its a relatively safe procedure. He said to go back on the med's for the anxiety, and everything is gonna be fine. I was so relieved. Thank you all so much for you caring and kind words. I love you all.
