It is going to be a long summer

Okay I know that siblings are supposed to fight and bicker with eachother but Oh my goodness these two are going to drive me nuts!Lindsey is 5 and Nate is 3 they fight like teenagers. One hits the other the other one bites they were in war with eachother yesterday Lin came out with a bloody nose and a bite mark deep in her back Nate had a brused nose and a slap mark on his back where she hit him. I don't even know why they fight and most of the time they don't either. It has been only 5 days since Lindsey has been out of school and already I am counting the days for next year to start. I have talked to them and given them both time outs I have even seperated them at this point I am not sure what else to do. Which it wouldn't be so bad with them avoiding each other but they share a bedroom in our apartment. so telling them to go to there rooms is not an option unless I want them to kill eachother. The weird part is they love to play together it's just that one minute they are playing nice and the next they are screaming at eachother with brusied body parts what do I do how do I get it through to them that they need to respect eachother and not hurt eachother. I want to nip this problem in the bud before our other baby comes next month any suggestions? I need some advice on how to not only discipline them with this but to be effective enough to stop it. I know they will always fight I did with my siblings but for petes sake I was alot older and I didn't give them bloody noses. What do you other mom's think anyone else have this problem?

Jun. 25, 2007 at 11:41 PM when you find out the answer let me know. my girls are the same way. with my oldest i make her write sentences but its hard to make my 4 yr old do that when she doesnt even know how to write.
