My Miracle

My son Kaydin is my miracle. He was born at only 24 1/2 weeks gestation. He had many complications at birth. There were several times I didn't think he was going to make it through the night. I was able to bring him home after a 3 month stay in the NICU, on oxygen and a apnea monitor. After a month at home he got pneumonia and RSV and had to go back to the hospital for another 2 weeks. He had quit breathing on the way to the hospital and it was the scariest thing I have ever been through. He has had a few complications since, he had to have triple hernia surgery last year. He was up playing the very next day like nothing had happened. The only problem he has now is a paralyzed vocal cord that he may need surgery to correct in the future. He is behind on a few things, but he is a very happy little boy that loves life. He makes me laugh everyday and I thank GOD for him.
