Hi,

I am Yasmin.  Yasmin (pronounced Yes. Meen) is arabic for Jasmine, the  fragrant yellow, white and sometimes pink flowering shrub.  I have written alot about me in a very condensed introduction on my homepage.  I am a pretty open and open minded person.  I am a homeschooling mom who also loves to live a double life...  I am a free spirited kind of woman.  I love to laugh even at myself. I love being a mom 90% of the time.. the other 10% I blame on the occassional bad day.  We all have them.

We live a fairly simple life.. we love arts & music and poetry... I take about 200 photos a week and keep a chronicle of our existence on Opendiary.com  I am not sure I feel as comfortable here yet, but perhaps over time as I become more familiar with some of the other women.... This seems like a much different environment than the journal I keep or the myspace I frequent...  I look forward to making new friends here, especially mom's who are fun, loving, good spirited and free thinking like me.

I have a 6 year old with autism, a 4 year old & a 2 year old.  Life is always interesting here.

My ideal playdate is in a fenced in yard with as many of the luxuries a park can offer as possible, since our autistic son is likely to run off an disappear.   We like sidewalk chalk drawing, sidewalk painting, being crafty and creative, playing board games, scultpures of playdough and buttons... we like playing ball, tag, hide and seek... reading books, dancing and make believe play.. we love learning new things and exploring our world.. We also love trips to brookfield zoo.  How about you?

I hope your day is good.

PS...

Sometimes when life is overwhelming it is nice to have a playdate when you don't have to do much at all,  just let the kids be kids, having fun playing while the moms listen to music and talk about "mom" things...and then enjoy a simple lunch.. maybe order a pizza.

Some days must be very trying having the three children at home and then the oldest with autism.  How fortunate to be able to stay home with the kids.  I'm the primary income in our family since most of my husbands pay goes to child support.

Where in Illinois are you?
