Caleb's evaluation began the same way as Matthew's at 8:45am. His results were quit different though. He saw all of the same evaluators. It was a different team but he saw the Speech Therapist, the OT the developmental pediatrician, and the psychologist. He was very anxious about the appt. He wasn't very cooperative with the testing but he did do the testing. There finding were this he still has the PDD-Nos label because they want to rule out ADHD, and Rule out Affective or Mood Disorder. They also feel he has Receptive and Expressive Language Disorder. Caleb's teacher has to fill out a questionaire and then we will have to go back for an ADHD evaluation. We are also going to send him to a counselor to help him with his mood and anxiety issues. They also suggested structured activities such as play dates. They also suggested academic and sports activities martial arts, robotics club, swimming ect.. They also feel we should call for an IEP review at the begining of the school year to discuss working on a behavior plan to help address his issues with being off task, social withdrawal, and avoidances. He also needs help with his receptive and expressive language deficits. After the ADHD evaluation and with improvement of is impulsivity and reduction of the affective issues they will do a re-eval of the PDD-Nos. Caleb's findings were hard to hear. With the depression history in my side of the family this has always been a concern for me for awhile.  I pray with intervention that we will be able to get a better handle on Caleb's issues.
