My son is 16 months old and I am still stuck rocking him to sleep!  I know I should have fixed this a long time ago, but now it's starting to get really frustrating.  Usually when I try to lay him in his crib while he's awake, he won't even lay down for 2 seconds.

 Any suggestions?

With my first daughter, I had this issue:  At Mamaw's house, she'd go down with no problem, but at home, NO WAY!  I eventually had to just leave her in there...I kept going in periodically to lay her back down, say "night-night", and walk back out.  "Supernanny" once said not to make eye contact when you go in there to lay them back down...don't know if that's why it worked, but in about a week, she got the picture that "night-night" meant no playing.

What's funny is that I'm having the same issue with my second, only it's not so easy to fix, because my girls share a room!!  She'd keep her big sister awake with all of her talking and playing, lol.

OH!!  Also, instead of rocking him, try standing up and swaying right next to the crib to wind him down a bit, then lay him down drowsy...
