Not going to be held responsibile

    Why must people assume that the name of a group is resposibile for others actions? This was posted in my group yesterday:

SAW THIS ON A POST AND HAD TO SPREAD THE WORD

It is with great sadness and through tears that I write this post.

Yesterday afternoon one of "our" CafeMom's lost her 2 beautiful children in a tragic car accident. Kassi lonely_mom_of_2's profile page - CafeMom is a 17 year old Mom of 2 who was married -- but who also had lost her husband 7 month's ago in another car accident. Because of the stress she has been dealing with since the loss of her husband her in-laws have been getting the children every weekend.

This past weekend as usual they picked the children up but they did not return (as usual) Monday at 1:00. Kassi started to worry when she could not contact them at home or on their cell phones (which answered -- out of service area).

At 5:00 PM last night officers arrived at Kassi's home. They were there to tell her that her precious little boy Cole (2 years old) had died along with his Grandparents in a car accident. And, that her beautiful baby Morgan (18 months) was in the hospital in critical condition. Kassi went to the hospital and did get to see Morgan for a few minutes before Morgan too died.

Kassi is currently in the hospital herself as you can imagine she is not in good shape.

The accident occurred because someone hit the Grandparents car in the rear and sent it off the road and into a tree. Both children were in car-seats however before people trying to help could reach them the car exploded.

Kassi has been through so very much in such a short amount of time. Please say a prayer for her and her family. I am not sure how she is going to be able to ever recover from this....please leave notes and emails on Kassi's home page as her best friend will be checking it and giving her our messages!

Please make Kassi's story popular -- she is going to need our support, love and prayers!!!! This comment was left in the Chatterbox of the woman who posted it:I htink you made up the Kassi story. Afterall you are in the warped humor group!!!! I find it very distasteful to mention my group in that manner. If Kassi's story is legit, than I pray for her and her family. If the story is false, I am sorry for the soul who is telling it. In NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM WILL MY GROUP BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANOTHER'S ACTIONS!!! This is just plain rude to assume any such thing.                 There is not one group in here that is responsible for another's actions We can not stop what others post. I find that alot of assumtions are always made on this site , that, or either the repliers dont read the entire post ,  It was a heartwrenching tale..true or not..It made me rethink my priorities in my life just like I'm sure it did with alot of the women on CafeMom. 

I think slandering a group from its title alone is just stupid!

And of ignorance.. And it flat out pisses me off.. We were readers of the post ,just like everyone else, Yet because we dont have a title that is of the norm this woman felt the need to put our group down and tie it in with the post..

WE DONT KNOW THE FACTS ON THIS POST! NOR THE ORIGIN OF THE ORIGINAL POSTER!!

Jun. 27, 2007 at 12:41 PM Yeah, I don't blame you.  I thought this story was crap yesterday and still think so today . . .. it sounds just like the whole Angel/Nick saga for those who were familiar with that.  I really wonder if it was even the same person behind the posts . . . as in . . . similair types of things and actions that would lead me to believe so.  So~don't feel bad, I for one don't see it as any reflection on your group.  That goes al ittle beyone a 'warped' sense of humor and even so~it was just one person, not your or your group.

Whether or no the story is true, she was just re-posting. All of us at one time or another has posted something that has touched our hearts and we have re-posted it. I'm sure she feels bad about this if it is false. I feel sorry for the person who started this to begin with (if it is false) and I pray for their soul. Another mom stated it perfectly as far as I am concerned:

The name of our group is not SICK DEMENTED MOTHERS. It may be call Warped Humor, but we are not Demented.

So because we find fart jokes funny we would make up a stroy like this just for s***s & giggles?  There is nothing anyone could find humorous about this story.  And last I checked "liars" wasn't in the title!

Jun. 27, 2007 at 3:33 PM I am so sorry that they are doing this to your group.  I for one am working on a missing children case and have approached group owners to see if they would repost something for me, but I would never ever put down a group or anyone in that group.  I might repost to someone who is saying bad things or just send out an email message telling them to either reread the story or ask me directly if they want clarifying of the story.  AGAIN I am sorry that some feel the need to be so mean.

WE ARE HERE TO BE THERE FOR ONE ANOTHER AND SHIT LIKE THIS IS NOT FUNNY. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH THAT GIRL AND HER FAMILY, WHAT SHE HAS LEFT OF THEM, I REALLY DON'T THINK THAT ANYONE WOULD MAKE UP A STORY LIKE THIS, DEMENTED OR NOT.
