Okay, I have a question.  How do I keep my son from taking off his diaper?  My son is 19 months old and recently he has discovered taking his diaper off.  When I put a diaper on him I notice throughout the day he will pull at his clothes and put his hand down his diaper.  When I get him out of bed in the mornings most of the time I've noticed he's taken his clothes off and thrown his diaper on the floor.  I've tried telling him no in a stern manor, I've tried taping his diaper, and I've tried all-in-one pj's but somehow he still manages to take his diaper off.  How do I keep my son from taking off his diaper?

when mine were little and they kept taking thiers off i'd put the diaper on backwards, It worked for a while untill they relized how to remove it that way

but it sounds like he may be ready for big boy undies have you started potty training him yet? if not you might wanna start, and only use a diaper at night or when u leave, but let him wear big boy undies during the day when he's awake

Jun. 27, 2007 at 1:44 PM      In the mornings when I get him out of bed he will walk over, grab a diaper, and say to me," Here ya go!"  If I ask him throughout the day, "Are you stinky or did you pee pee?"  He will either run and get a diaper and lay down to be changed or he will say,"Stinky" and run to get the wipes.  He knows what the toilet is for he watches us use it all the time.  He knows how to life and shut the lid and he also knows how to flush.  I don't know why he is taking his diaper off I thought maybe because he thought it was a game or maybe it's because he doesn't like being wet or poopy.  Do you think it's time to think about potty training?

Aug. 5, 2007 at 2:38 PM I am having this same problem and it is driving me insane!  Yesterday I went into his room and he took his diaper off and then pooped.  He thinks he's Rembrandt.  We have tried taping his diaper, snap Pjs, and the only thing that stalled him was the diaper on backwards and a backwards Onesie with PJs!  Maybe you can try that.  My next step is those sleeper PJs with the feet and the zipper.  Since it is summer I am going to cut off the arms and legs and use a safety diaper pin to keep the zipper from being pulled down!
