So hubby just got back from a 2 week training on Friday.  The first he was gone Keegan was fine, then about a week into it anything could set Keegan off and then he would start crying, My Daddy, My Daddy.  Which is heartbreaking to me, but there is nothing I can do to make him stop crying, he just has to cry it out!

Now that Chad is back and at work, Keegan is doing the same exact thing!  I don't know what to do anymore!  It just breaks my heart and it is so hard to explain to him what is going on!  When he leaves in 2 months I am going to have a LONG  6 to 7 months!.

Jul. 9, 2007 at 5:42 PM Hi! Well my son was not quite old enough to go through that yet but it will get easier. When my hubby left for 6 months Brayden was upset and at certain times during the day he would cry and I knew it was for daddy! About 2-3 months later it got easier! He still had the moments that I knew he wanted daddy, expecially when he said dada! It is a hard life as a military brat!

Jun. 28, 2008 at 12:00 PM My husband left for Japan 3 weeks ago, and I am just now starting to feel it. I have 6 months and 1 week to go!! This is our second deployment together, so I knew what to expect this time, so I think it will be easier. About your son, I can't help you there, my kids are his stepchildren. My 7 year old loves him to death though, and she misses him terribly. She will ask every day, " Is it almost time for Brandon to come home?" It gets easier, and  you will learn to deal with it in your own way! Good luck
