Are you better off than your parents were at your age?

OMG NO they were SO much better off then i am at my age

They owned thier own home and had for many many years, my dad had a great job (still has a DECENT JOB but got laid off from that great job he'd worked at for over 20 yrs  back in 2003 and has worked a cpl jobs since then )

here i am 31 yrs old STILL RENTING, no job but not from lack of looking and applying , this state or at least the last 2 towns ive lived in has NO WORK, unless your a truck driver or a nurse and i have no licences and i couldnt drive a rig any way and i dont have the guts to be a nurse i'd puke on all the patients lol

Jul. 2, 2007 at 4:23 PM yes and no. my mom was a single mom she only had me. she lived with her mom and had family in the house to help. her rent was cheaper and she was on state assistance to finish school and better herself. i am married i have two kids and one is special needs and we cant manage to pay bills but dont qualify for help.
