Abiut a week ago my kids come in the huse and tell me that a bird nest has fallen and two of the birds are dead but there is still one alive. So I get it and call the vet and he tells me what I can do but says he would only giv it little hope. Well today I had to call them back and he tells me that I have done a great job and that they all think the bird will make it. It really is col knowing that I am giving this inisent animal a chance at life when others wouldn't have..It been a great experience for me and my whole family. I feel that me and my kids have bonded even more and knowing that I'm teaching them that everything is worth a chance of life is worth it all.

Jul. 2, 2007 at 10:10 PM Good for you, for giving it a chance.  There are licensed animal rehabilitators in most areas who will take an animal like that from you, and raise it, then turn it back into the wild when it is ready.  Ask your vet who the rehabbers in your area are, and keep their number somewhere handy.  You never know when you're going to need to call them.

Jul. 6, 2007 at 12:33 PM well I have had him for almst two weeks now and the little fart is getting so big and hes finally getting some feathers on him. I will post another pic next week. Thanks for your support. I have a # that I have on hand at all times. Its for a vet that specialized in birds. They have been a great help and so has the internet.He has become my baby.
