I just found out this week that I'm having a boy. Yay!! After raising my two girls for the last 4 & 1/2 years, I know it's going to be a lot different having a little boy around. (Having to duck and cover when changing diapers, for instance!!) But I can't wait to buy Bob the Builder t-shirts and little carpenter pants. :-) I am a little worried about labor. My first baby was a 10 & 1/2 pounder. I was in labor for 61 hours (no, that wasn't a typo), didn't sleep for 2 nights becasue of the pain, and her shoulders got stuck on the way out. The doctor had to reach his arm half way up me (according to my husband) to pull her out and we both spent a week in the hospital. Everything turned out fine, and my second labor was a breeze. Four & 1/2 hours, 7 lbs. 8 oz., and I pushed about 3 times and she slid right out. I didn't even have time for the epidural! But I can't help but be a little scared about this next one. The nice thing about having a traumatic first labor is that now they will always induce me early, just so as not to take any chances, since babies usually get bigger as you go. So I guess that's a comfort. But I still worry.

Your labors sound like mine...the first was long and difficult (though yours was about 35 hours longer!!) and the second was a breeze (5 hours from start to finish!). Mine are 13 months apart...how about yours? My son is crazy...good luck!
