After being off tour for 2 years. our guys are hitting the road again!  We got to see them Tuesday night at the House of Blues in New Orleans and it was sooo much fun.  They had done 1 show in New York a couple of weeks ago but this was their first time back in front of the home town crowd.  We met some friends for dinner before the show and it just added to the fun being with them all again and sharing their excitement.  I'm not brave enough to watch a show from the floor at the HOB (yeah...my friends called me a chicken....lol) so DH and I watched from the balcony area.  The opening band was Castor Troy from the Mississippi Gulf Coast and they were good.  The place was sold out so it was packed and when our boys hit the stage, the crowd went wild.  I got a little teary eyed seeing them back on stage....they are so good at performing and have missed it so much.  My 16 year old got to go with us  to a show at the House of Blues for the first time....she had to watch from the side of the stage since she was underage but it was so much fun to see her excitement too.  The crowd was great...very enthusiastic and singing along to the songs they knew.  During the last song, my son did a stage dive off into the crowd (I hate when he does that!  lol)  and my daughter told me later that she was tempted to dive off after him but she knew she would get sooo grounded when she got home!  (her friends told her later "but how cool would that be to get grounded for that!"  lol)  The guys will be in Biloxi MS for the CPR Fest Afterparty on this Saturday night and then in Baton Rouge on Monday night....then they'll be gone for awhile....touring with Daughtry and Saliva and possibly other bands.  We're going to the shows on Saturday and Monday so we're excited about seeing them again.  We'll miss them when they leave for the rest of the tour but I'm so proud that they are finally getting to follow their dreams again!  If your kids have a dream, encourage them to do what it takes to make it a reality.

Awesome, I'll have to keep my eye out for if they come around my way...I've only seen them once up in Michigan (and it was a good drive too).  And it's so true about encouraging our children, they are not us, so we have to let them live their dreams!

Jul. 6, 2007 at 11:20 AM I wish them look, the plus side is how popular the headliner is already, it offers your son exposure.  And that man can SING!  plus he is cute like the rest of your family....   I hope to catch them in York if possible

Jul. 11, 2007 at 8:54 PM That is so cool. I would have been in the balcony too! It is so cool your daughter was able to be a part of it. she will remember it forever.  My guys are in South Bend tomorrow night! There second show in that city. And then back to Kalamazoo. How did your guys do it at first with touring and jobs. this is hard!!

Jul. 23, 2007 at 12:39 PM I'll bet you wanted to call Paul to the side and tell him not to jump in the crowd...you never know what those strangers might do to him!! The boys are in for a ride...and they will have plently of stories to tell...and a few I'll bet they can't tell! I know you are proud of him, heck, I am!!
