Oh my goodness!  What a day!  Let's see...I left at 10:45 and made it to Houston in two hours. That is a record or something..I don't know how I got there so fast!  I met my best friend, and some of her singles class, at Niko Niko's in Montrose.  The food was so delish (gyro, calamari and greek salad...YUMM-O).  Here's a picture of me and my bestest friend :o)

Then we went to a place called the Chocolate Bar.  This place is DANGEROUS!  Especially for an ice cream lover like me!!  Of course the price tag (four dollars for one itsy-bitsy scoop) helped keep me in check :o)

(Side note:  I love these walls, and would TOTALLY do my bedroom like this!!)

Then we went to a little candy shop next door, and laughed at some of the stupid crap that they were selling.  My silly friend bought some salt and vinegar crickets (seriously..oh yeah, they had BBQ and Sour Cream and Onion also..blah!), but more on that later :o)

Now we were off to see Hillsong United!!  We got a little bit lost, which isn't hard in Houston.  We finally made it to Lakewood, and made the unbelievably long walk from the parking garage to the "sanctuary", all the while not believing that people do this twice a week when they attend this church.  We get inside and it is MADNESS!!  The crowd was unreal, and we got there an hour and a half early!  They opened the doors and we made a mad dash to find eight seats together.

I had planned to meet one of my cafemom friends, for the first time, at the show.  We called each other, once we were all settled in, and had found seats.  We decided to meet at the sound booth.  It was nice meeting her, and she brought me back to meet her husband.  Little did we know...we were sitting on the same row, with only the isle seperating us!!  Out of 30,000+ people, we were sitting less than five feet from one another.  To me, that proves that God has a sense of humor!

We waited for about an hour for the show to start.  The energy in the place was awesome!!

The show started, and I'm getting goose bumps just thinking about it!!  It was just so spirit-filled, amazing, awesome....just  ROCKIN!!  Here's a video of "Take it all"...sorry for the distortion (and for my singing in the background...LOL).

To hear 30,000 people singing and praising the name of the Lord is SUCH AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!!!  I wish that all of you could have been there!!  The show went on for about two hours, and sadly had to end.  We were SO PUMPED though!  I heard that the ceiling tiles were falling off of the second floor, from people jumping up and down on the third floor.  That's crazy!  Anyway, the show ended and how did my dorky friends cap it off?  WITH CRICKETS!!! They're so funny and silly!

Here's a picture of my SIL and niece.  They came too :o)  Oh yeah...they were looking at my friends like they were CRAZY while they ate the bugs =)

One more picture for the road!  We had so much fun!  The vibe in the parking garage was so pumped!  People were telling everyone that Jesus loved them, and just acting FILLED WITH THE LORD!  I'm seriously getting goose bumps just remembering it!  It was so awesome.  There is no other word to describe it.

I ended up getting home at 1:30 AM.  I was soooo tired!  I even tried calling Mikayla at about midnight, just to help keep me awake.  I only let it ring once though.  I figured she'd be up, but I guess not.  I look at her page and it looks like last night was one of the rare ones that she turned in early.  Sorry if I woke you, girl!!

I hope ya'll enjoyed hearing about my wonderful day yesterday :o)  God bless you all <><

Aww MAN!  If I'd have known - I'd have stayed up that extra 20 minutes!!  Nah...no way the phone can wake anyone up...it's locked up in the office.  Wait...no it's not.  Where is it?  Uh oh...uh,  gotta go hunt my phone.

I'm glad you had fun.  I'd eat crickets.  Sounds fun.

We actually said the same thing last night!!  My best friend and I love music so much, that we know heaven is going to be so full of praise and worship!  The best line that I heard last night was, "the only way this could get better, is if the Lord came back right now, and took us to heaven".

AMEN TO THAT!  :o)

Jul. 16, 2007 at 5:37 PM Hey, I was there too!  Amazing just isn't enough.  Their worship is amazing but to hear it live...was invigorating.  I wrote about it in the "TOPIC OF THE DAY - WORSHIP" post......We were on the lower level, not on the floor, but like 3 steps up...about 4 rows back, dead center....The message was excellent as well.....we actually went to the rest room when the tiles were falling...and then when I got back to my seat, I could sooo feel the floor shaking!!!  God rocks!  I wish I'd know you guys were there, we could have met as well!
