What is it with the competitive mothering?

Don't you hate it when other mothers try to make you feel like crap for the way you live your life? Guess what?  There's no gold medal competition we're competing to win!  Another thing that gripes me is when someone reads two sentences about you online and decides she knows what "your problem" is.  When that happens it is tempting to show them my problem with profanity!  ;)

 Recently I have learned that this is how Satan tempts us to sin against one another.  Just because someone offends me I am not supposed to set them straight.  That's tough, but getting easier.  God is calling me to be a better person and take the high road, but it is tough!!!

Anyway, I really like Clubmom except for those ungodly mothers out there who think they know it all and are on a mission to tell other people how to live their lives.  But I will learn to look past them eventually, I guess.  They certainly will always be around.

I know what you mean!  I had posted on Club Mom and got blasted by a couple of moms, who told me that I was an alcoholic because I have A drink of wine or A beer in front of my kids.  Just because one person chooses not to drink doesn't give them the right to accuse me of being an alcoholic and a horrible mother, which is exactly what they did.  They said I was a horrible mother and they implied how much better they were than me because of that.
