When was the last time you were up all night?

Hmmm. It's been awhile since I had an uninterrupted night of sleep, but I think the last time I was truly up all night was the night I gave birth to my son. That night I went to bed at about 11 and woke up 2 hours later when my water broke. From that point on, there was no sleeping! My doula tried to send me back to bed so I'd conserve my energy, but I was in back labor and it hurt to lie down. So, I was up all night!

 I remember going for a walk at around 5am - at first light. I needed a change of scenery so we walked a few blocks (though I had to stop every few minutes to lean on something for the contractions). It was so peaceful and quiet though - we were the only ones around. It's hard to believe that a few hours later I'd be holding my screaming little baby - no more peace and quiet for awhile in our house!

Jul. 18, 2007 at 12:16 PM I havent slept in a long time.  I swear my kid is an insomniac!  The last time I slept was more than 8 months ago....
