Wow I really forget what it is like to have a new baby in the house lol mason is sleeping 3 1/2 -4 hours at night somtimes 5 hours which I am greatful but I guess it has just caught up with me between the 2 older kids the house recovering with the c-section and getting up with the baby this morining at the 2 am feeding I felt like I needed tooth picks to keep my eyes open I though I was going to fall asleep with him in my arms. I did get to have a nap today though it was only an hour when Nate went to sleep for his nap and then Mason was asleep I thought I would take advantage of  the situation. It has only been a week and a few days but when I think about it all it feels longer and when I am up at 2 am a feeling very tired I almost dread the future feedings in the weeks to come but then I look at him eating and It totally makes that feeling go away I find that I am bonding with him more at night then during the day I try to spend more time with the other kids during the day when I can and with the baby at those feedings. But man right now I feel like I could sleep for a week. Okay I can dream can't I lol someday when the kids are all grown up maybe then I can sleep yeah right lol.

Jul. 22, 2007 at 3:01 AM Its so difficult the first few weeks isnt it? Eventually your body will get used to it, and 5 hrs is soo good for such a young baby. Your actually really lucky. Just try to go to sleep as early as you can. Dont worry about the laundry or dishes until the daytime. Rest at night.

I am so right there with you. I am 36 1/2 weeks pregnant, but with 3 kids at home I feel like I never sleep. I know it will get worse when the baby is born. I hope my 2 older kids (10 and 8 yrs old) don't feel neglected or used when she comes. I have already warned them that they will be expected to help me with the 20 month old when I need to rest. They are very good helpers so I know they will. I am glad I home school so I can sleep when I need to and will have them there to help. I know I will need to school them too, but I can do that at 8 pm if needed. LOL

Good luck!
