Wow, I feel terrible about this morning. Cheyenne has move into her two year old Sunday School class, so she is no longer in nursery, even for services. She was doing good for the first half of the service. Then when one of the young ladies was sharing her testimony, Cheyenne started getting restless. She did not want to stay still, she would cry real loud when we got on to her. Which became often. Her Daddy and I were both getting tense and upset with her. We missed what we felt was important during the testimony and a prayer request. It was very frustrating.
I know that this is normal for children her age. I even thought about bringing a snack next time as we drove home, but they give them snacks at the end of the Sunday School class. We even have church early, ending at 11:30AM. I hate to see if it did end later, because I know part of it was that she was hungry. I also understand the reason for why they want the children in the services. I just don't think she is ready to sit through service, and certainly not ready to participate.
Not that this happens all the time. She does have her good days. I just felt bad cause we were getting so bent out of shape right in the middle of church. God please give me more a more gentle, compassionate heart at moments like these. Thank You.

Emily,
You spelled her name right. Yea, I remember a church that I went to that did things just like that. They have there reason's for how they do things here, it is the only thing that I think I disagree with. I read a book called Parenting in the Pew and even the writer said they were not ready until age four. I think she would eat the silly putty. She has just stopped putty crayons in her mouth. I had to ask her Sunday School teacher cause they color every day.
