I wanted to see if I could make my daughter an outfit on the new machine (I am NOT a seamstress... I've made maybe 5 or 6 outfits EVER!) & since I'd had problems with the tension on the old machine, I decided to try a kerchief pattern first before starting on the dress (already cut out!) tomorrow....I DID IT! After some trial & error (I've had this new machine for a year, but have NEVER used it before tonight!) I actually made a nice looking kerchief! I have to say, I'm VERY proud of myself! I never liked sewing machines before as I'd seen my aunt break a needle off in her thumb while sewing...& since I'm a TOTAL clutz...I figured I'd do the same. TIME TO CONQUER OLD FEARS! I'm on a roll & hope to continue making clothes, getting better all the time! (I LOVE victorian & old west styles....I hope to eventually be able to make some of my own!)
