Any time a mother can stay home and give their child the love and care it takes to bring up a child, is a very good thing. I am a mother of three, a grandmother also a great grandmother.

I wasn't fortunate to have that pleasure in my life. I am happy for you, as well as every mother.  We can't be to careful with our childen these days. But what time I had I did what I could to keep my children as happy as I could with a abusive husband being their Dad.  Now that I am 80 years young they are taking very good care of me. It is a true roll reversal.

My children  insisted that I write the true story about living with an abusive husband and father. Below is some about our story."Till Death Do Us Part."

If you like to read a true story may I suggest you go to my web site and read comments about "Till Death Do Us part. I promise you it is not your same-o same- o-story.

Not because I wrote it but because I lived every horrible moment for over thirty years. It has took me over twenty years to write my true story. It was a very painful thing for me to do. In order to write it I had to relive every terrible moment. My husband never allowed me to cry. He would stand over me with a belt telling me if you shed one tear I will beat the hell out of you. I started writing it in 1987, I would write until I were blinded by my tears. My children encouraged me to write it. Then came a time that I finally could not put it away very long at a time. I know in my heart and before God, I never mistreated my husband in any way. He grew up seeing his father beat his mother and finally his father executed his mother with a shot gun to the head. Blew her head off as she sat quietly hand quilting. Yet he still had the presence of good mind to send his youngest son out through the community to find enough men to hold his inquest. ( Oh, so very true) This was back in December of 1945 when men owned their wives. Anything that happened behind closed doors was legal. The sheriff's office was never called and no law enforcement ever put foot to check it out. When a man said accident, so be it. It was deemed an accident. I cooked I catered to my husband every demand that he made of me, including three hot meals a day with fresh hot biscuits made from scratch and buttered hot straight from the oven. That is also what his mother did for his father before him. I did my best and fulfilled his every demand. Oh my God, the fear of him inside me were so intense. My parents never ever hit me, rarely scolded me.  I lived a devastated thirty years. I hope I haven't ruined the story for anyone in case you read the book. There is much, much more in the book. I wrote the book more for my mother in law, because not one person other than myself stood up for her defence. She went through than I have. She wasn't allowed to live to tell her story.
