My oldest son will be 6 on Monday.....I can't believe it. We're having his birthday party tomorrow. I swaer it hasn't been that long since I was pregnant with him...but jeez the time has just flown....He's shot up in height over the past couple of months - now reaching my breastbone -- and I'm 5'8"!!!!!!

I am so proud of the caring boy he is...always free with the hugs and to give love to strange children in grocery stores....alright I wish he would cut THAT out but whatever. He will cry when his friends don't hug him or if his brother doesn't want to play with him....he is such a sweety (if a little melodramatic..lol).

A part of my looks forward to meeting the man he will one day be - because I know he will be wonderful (and I'm totally NOT biased); and the other part of me wants to freeze him exactly as he is si I never have to see the day he doesn't care if he can sit with mom.....

Wow I remember those days with my girls, and I want them back so bad.  I will look through their pictures and it brings back such great memories.  I envy you and all the memories you get to make now.  Take lots of pictures.  And do the hand prints too.

Jul. 27, 2007 at 10:28 PM My son turns 7 on September 2nd. I wantto freeze him in time at this age as well. He loves to cuddle on my lap (even though he is overflowing on it), hugs and kisses me all the time. I never want it to end. My daughter turned 13 on the 15th of July. I have no idea where the time went!

I soo miss those days! My son is 17, he just got hisdrivers lisence a few months ago, and bought his first car last week. My heart just drops every time he pulls out of the driveway.

There bwas a time when he wouldn't walk past me without stopping to give me a hug and kiss, even called time out playing tag ball 1 time to kiss me bye,i was only going to the corner store.LOL

Now there is a girlfriend, car, fulltime job, keeping grades up at school,it seems there is never time anymore for hugs, kisses, stories.

And soon he'll be going off to the airforce,he signed up last month,

but I take great pride in the man he is becoming,I'd like to think that my love helped to shape who he is now.

Cherish those sticky kisses, girls, the are gone way too soon.

  Brightest Blessings,

                             Elaine

Jul. 28, 2007 at 2:32 AM I think we can all relate to wanting to freeze some moments in time. I'm always looking through the picture books remembering when my kids were babies. Still, they are only 4 but growing fast and this fall they will be in Kindergarten.  Everytime I think about it, I cry!  I will be a wreck seeing them go off on that schoolbus alone! OK, I have to stop now because I'm welling up again.
