I was so shocked to see the Fed-Ex delivery driver show up at my house on Monday in the pouring rain hustling to my door with a box for me.  I take it inside and don't recognize the sender...figuring it was one of the free samples I ordered I quickly open it. Before I got the box open completely I could smell the fresh baked bread wafting out of the box. Oh my gosh, it came! I was my 3 Free loaves of Sara Lee bread from Cafe Mom and Sara Lee! I was so excited! I called the kids in there and they immediately thought maybe I had gotten another round of potato heads! LOL...When I showed them the bread they asked if I had been shopping online because they sell bread in our local store! LOL...I was laughing so hard and explained to my 10 year old daughter how Sara Lee was giving away free bread to try and convince people that the whole grain bread that was better for you , also taste great.  Well it could not have came at a more perfect time. My daughter and I both have just recently started a "diet" of sorts. No I am not teaching her to calorie count this young, just wanted her to start making wiser choices in the foods she eats. So both of us have made several changes in our diet, including switching to whole grain tortillas. Well I had talked ot her about switching to wheat bread nad she said that she is not willing to eat "the brown kind"...so when the bread came I talked to her and even showed her the Sara Lee page on the cafemom site.  For dinner that night we had "Build your own sandwich night" which is a weekly thing in my house. Her 5 year old brother and her decided they would try the honey wheat, because if it has honey in it then it can't be all that bad! LOl...So they loaded it up with turkey and our new lowfat Miracle Whip with some reduced fat Kraft cheese we had just bought and lots of fresh veggies from our garden. Not only did the kids love it but they came back for seconds! I was shocked, my 5 year old is very picky and he even loved it! So not only have we switched to whole grain but now they actually prefer it. I took them out to eat the other day and they asked for whole grain toast! I am still in shock. I have to say that I was very impressed by the quality of the bread when it was shipped to us, it's not my parents wheat bread they used to force me to eat growing up!
